2024 Jessi James Memorial Scholarship

Winner of the Georgia Fire Jessi James Scholarship for 2024 is Katie Lemonds of Ga Fire Gold 18U Rockhold. We would like to thank all those that turned in applications from within our organization which made the selection challenging.

Katie was All Region at 2nd Base for Ola High School and was also a Captain on the 2023 team which made it to the Elite 8 in Columbus. We would like to congratulate her on being an exemplary teammate throughout travel ball and school ball. We look forward to watching your college career at Gordon State. We know you will continue to do great things!

An example of the Georgia Fire being more than just "high level softball" is the Jessie James Scholarship. This program which was created in November, 2006, in honor of a former Georgia Fire player who passed away way too young. This scholarship is awarded annually to a player from the Georgia Fire based on the requirements and guidelines of the scholarship.
